El Rapolao is the grandest of the grand crus of Bierzo. This bottling comes from two 100+-year-old north-facing plots that have been in the García family for generations. Half of the must ferments with whole clusters in used 225L French barrels. The other half is destemmed and ferments in stainless steel. The wine rested for eight months in used French barrels before bottling.
