The Costumbres red is primarily Garnacha with small complements of Tinto Velasco and Tempranillo from old, organically-farmed vines planted in clay loam in the southern corner of the Rioja Oriental. The whole clusters are foot-trodden and fermented in used open-top French barrels without inoculation or temperature control. The wine is then aged in a combination of glass, concrete and used barrels. 7,500 bottles.
