El Esquilón is a 1.2-hectare north-facing vineyard that runs between 450 and 550 meters ASL. The soils are dominated by volcanic rock interspersed with clay and sandy loam. This ferments with whole clusters in unlined cement tanks. It is then moved to 500L French barrels for malolactic conversion and a further 13 months of élevage.
