La Secreta is Mitarte’s flagship wine, a monovarietal Tempranillo from 50+-year old plots in the village of Labastida, Rioja Alavesa district. The must ferments in stainless steel and ages in 70% American and 30% French barrels. The label is an homage to the mariquita, the ladybug that does heroic work defending the vineyards against pathogenic microorganisms.
